Zynga CEO Mark Pincus: $180M OMGPOP Acquisition Was A ?Rare Instance?
Stepping back from remarks a few weeks ago that suggested that Zynga was about to go on a shopping spree, Zynga chief executive Mark Pincus said the $180 million acquisition of Draw Something-maker OMGPOP was a "rare instance." Although OMGPOP was certainly a step up from anything Zynga has ever done before, Pincus said it didn't represent a change in strategy from last year. He said Zynga will continue to be "prudent and bottom line-oriented" in its decisions today during the first-quarter earnings call.?That's a?change in tone from an interview with Bloomberg a few weeks ago when he said that he expected to do "a few? OMGPOP-sized deals in the next three to five years. His remarks helped send shares tumbling 13.9 percent from the day the story appeared.trisomy 13 veterans chicago bears lisa marie presley new york rangers minnesota vikings

Lane Garrison: Cleared in Domestic Violence Probe
Lane Garrison has dodged a legal bullet and won't be charged for allegedly slapping his ex-girlfriend, Playboy Playmate Ashley Mattingly, according to reports.
Garrison was arrested last weekend after an altercation with Mattingly in the lobby of her apartment complex in Beverly Hills, and he remains in jail.
The former Prison Break star isn't eligible for bail because he's still on parole for vehicular manslaughter, which was supposed to end this Saturday.
Right now, it looks like he'll soon be in the clear on all accounts.
"The District Attorney has decided not to charge Lane because they didn't have sufficient evidence to prove that he hit Ashley," said a police source.
Even though the entire incident was caught on surveillance video, Lane gave an exhaustive interview to detectives and denied ever hitting Ashley.
"Lane contends that he never hit Ashley, it's just not who he is," said the source, adding that he was simply trying to get his phone away from her.
If you watch the tape closely, Lane's explanation is plausible, and he was apparently very convincing during long sit-downs with police detectives.
For his future, that's a very good thing.

Twitter sets up shop in Detroit coworking space
Coworking, we?ve reported, is moving out from its community-focused roots as larger organizations explore ways they can apply the principles of the movement to boost innovation. And apparently, Twitter has gotten the memo on coworking 2.0, because when the company moved in to Detroit to boost their efforts to sell ads to car companies, where did they set up shop? In a coworking space.
The latest Twitter satellite office will make its home in a coworking space in the historic M@dison Building, a redesigned former theater that sells itself as ?industrial chic? and is home to a handful of other startups. The move puts Twitter in interesting company with a small band of forwarding thinking companies applying the coworking concept, Shareable reports, citing examples from across the pond:
Twitter is only the latest in a small but powerful group of corporations that are dabbling in coworking.?Mozilla recently opened its new ?Moz Space? in London, welcoming?both Mozilla staff and visitors who need a place to work. Also in London, Google recently opened the doors of its start-up incubator, called ?Campus,? which?will serve as a ?coworking and events space.?
Here in the U.S. always innovative Zappos is also experimenting with coworking in Las Vegas. But being down with coworking isn?t the only way Twitter is bang on trend with the move. Detroit, long more of a cautionary tale of everything that can go wrong with a city, is now in the midst of a renaissance of sorts, attracting tech start-ups and incubators, as well as urban hipsters looking for cheap housing and a scene on the upswing, according to the New York Times. ?We?re happy to play a role in downtown Detroit?s digital renaissance,? Twitter president of global revenue Adam Bain said.
Will we see many more companies jumping on the coworking bandwagon in the future?

Wanted: Work of Art
The Four Questions1) What is your roleplay about?
My roleplay "Work of Art" is basically about 7 artists with powers that try to bring back the concept of Color to their city while attempting to defeat an evil organization2) Why is your idea so much better than the rest?
Well, my roleplay involves the concept of art and it shows many 21st century art movements. After seeing the main focus on the Roleplay, I decided to take a look at other roleplays on the site. I got some ideas and influences from them, I mixed in "superheroes", "art", and the concept of corruption into this roleplay"
3) What do you want from potential roleplayers?
Descriptive writing, free from texting slang (your OMFG's and LOL's basically) and one liners (my biggest pet peeve in roleplaying). I'd also like the writing to be situational because it gives other writers more opportunities to think about what they write.
4) Who are you?
A 16-year old roleplayer, I have a year of role playing experience in my belt, I run a lot of roleplays on the site. I'm not much of a creative writer (my style of writing is persuasive) but I'm here to grow and learn day by day.

Welcome to Chroma City
Audere est Facere*
*To Dare Is to Do
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
1. Overview
Prologue:
The history of Chroma City began in 1982 when two graffiti artists from New York City grew tired of the limited opportunities in the urban area because whenever they would create a mural of graffiti, the police will either jail them or make them remove the mural completely. One half of the Graffiti Artists codenamed Ecko decided to build a city that will allow art to have limitless boundaries. The other codenamed Dali decided to spread news that both of them (Ecko and Dali) built a city and to spread the influence of art in today's youth and society. Ecko instilled the influence of graffiti in the city while Dali diffused his ideas on surrealism and other styles of 19th century art in the city. In March 29th 1982, Chroma City is finally finished from the blood, sweat and tears from the duo of Ecko and Dali. However, disagreements arose between the two and Dali left the city forming the government of Chroma City. The government at the time had little power and Ecko instilled many colors from the color wheel to create a diversity of art all around the city. After 20 years of urbanistic influence, Ecko died peacefully in his sleep. However, the government of Chroma City decided to break off from the city and renamed themselves as the Monochrome Organization bent from turning Chroma City into a metropolis of black and white
Plot:
In 2012, it has been 20 years since Ecko died, Many have flocked to Chroma City in search to follow their artistic values or to simply become an artist. Some have been searching for an art style to follow but others prefer to enjoy art at its best. After Ecko died, his spirit instilled the true power of art in many people throughout the globe. Most of the time, it is dormant but some have awoken their true potential and others have awakened it in a later time. As a result, it gives the individual supernatural powers. Anyway, the Monochrome Organization with Dali leading the group decides to suck the color out of Chroma City. Within minutes, the city is without color, no one cannot express their feelings through paintings and sculptures. However, 7 artists from around the globe are against the fact that Chroma City has no color. The 7 young artists believe that color is fundamental in art and they must regain the concept of color while attempting to defeat the Monochrome Organization. Will they regain the concept of color to Chroma City or will "color" disappear forever.
